How to increase website conversion through design
Most of the time, I wondered how can I provide more value for my clients and helping them increase ROI. Hence, I researched and curated these useful tips to increase website conversion for my clients. Hope you find it helpful!
Design is essential for website conversion
Design plays a huge role in increasing a website’s conversion rates, along with SEO and quick load time. Within a few seconds, visitors form an opinion about a business based on the website design. Hence, as designers, we must create websites that provide good UX and enough value propositions to increase conversion and reduce bounce rates.
Follow these UI patterns to boost ROI 👇
1. Value Proposition
Include the JTBD Statement in the headline of the hero section on the website, next to the CTA. Make sure to draw the user’s attention to the benefits that will save them time, effort, or money, and provide a guarantee about your product or service.
2. CTAs and Follow-ups
CTAs and follow-up banners are key to conversion optimization. Use CTA buttons multiple times throughout the website. Make sure that the color of the CTA buttons should be the same, so the user can tell whether it’s a button or not.
3. Social Proof & Logo Cloud
Adding the logos of your top clients to the website and providing social proof will help build trust by showing that you have experience working with some of the top brands and delivering great results to them. Convincing consumers that your product or service is the right option for them is key to increasing conversions.
4. Easy & Clear Navigation
Converting visitors into customers is tough when each visitor navigates the website in a unique way. Having clear navigation on the homepage of the website will ensure that all visitors can navigate the website easily and find what they are seeking.
5. Urgency
Use tags like “Only 5 Left”, “Offer Ends in 1 Hour” or “Only 5 Seats Left” to create urgency about your product or service. Try to make it as exclusive as possible. It will make the visitors buy your offerings immediately, if they are in real need of it.
6. Testimonials & Reviews
Testimonials can benefit you in converting more visitors into customers. Humans usually want to believe another person’s thoughts & experience, and one of the most effective ways to do so is to show them a genuine testimonial or review.
7. Responsive Design
If your website isn’t mobile-responsive, you’re already losing conversions. Reduce the friction & quantity of copy and images for mobile or small devices. Make sure to give the users key insights that they should see at the top of the website.
Conclusion
I included most of these points in every client website I work on. Apply these tips to your client’s website, and I am sure you will get a higher CTR than before!
